Three forms of shea are the starting point. The supporting ingredients change with the job.
These are ingredients under development, not final formulas or labels. Exact grades and percentages are still being evaluated.
01
The three-shea foundation
West African shea, East African Nilotica, and fractionated liquid shea establish the shared material identity. Balm and pumpable use different ratios.
West African shea — structure
Nilotica shea — softer whole shea
Liquid shea — fluid carrier
02
Supporting oils
Jojoba, squalane, green tea seed oil, and bamboo extract form the supporting base. Each material’s grade and use level are still being evaluated.
Golden jojoba oil
Olive-derived squalane
Green tea seed oil
Oil-soluble bamboo extract in sunflower oil
03
Balm and pumpable
The balm uses beeswax for structure and arrowroot for texture. The first pumpable trials leave both out and increase the proportion of liquid shea.
Balm: beeswax and arrowroot
Pumpable: independent ratios and dispensing validation
04
The CBD expression
The CBD formulas have their own carrier and supporting ingredients. They are not part of the non-CBD base. CBD content will be established through formula development and lot testing. No separately added CBG is planned.
CBD distillate
C8 MCT carrier
Nerolidol
Alpha-bisabolol
Copaiba
Oil-compatible ceramide system
05
Practitioner’s Reserve · Grip
A localized additive concept that retains the three-shea identity. Rosin can cause contact sensitivity; its grade, concentration, process, and finished safety are still unresolved.
Three-shea foundation
Castor oil
Pure pine gum rosin / Colophonium
A modest increase in beeswax
06
Aroma and research
Aroma is a separate choice from format or CBD. The aromatic blend is still being selected. Hemisqualane, avocado oil, tallow, and emu oil remain research possibilities; they are not current core ingredients.
No final fragrance formula announced
Final ingredient and cannabinoid information will accompany each released formula
The formulation brief
The material has to earn its place.
The formulation brief calls for natural materials and no synthetics.
Origin alone is not enough. Processing, consistency, compatibility, and the way a material behaves under the hands all need to be considered.
